Yeah, everything was fine. I thought it might be a low battery because I had to get some minor body work done on the front left bumper and thought they may have left the doors open while working. I've had the battery on a charger overnight and it cranks strong, just doesn't start

Yes and yes. The only connectors that are left unplugged are:

1. EGR Plug
2. EGR Cooler Plug
3. EGR Cooler Vacuum Plug

They should have been coded out by the JR Turning reflash, but even if they weren't, it should still start and be in limp mode. Argghhh!. It would be really bad luck if the fuel pump or crankshaft position sensor went bad while it was sitting in my garage.

How did you delete the EGR? Did you install a race pipe to remove the EGR Valve? What did you do with the electrical plugs? What did you do with the vacuum lines going to the EGR cooler?

So you originally had JR's Stage 2 tune, then later refreshed the tune to remove the EGR and swirl flaps?

I used AARodiguez' EGR race pipe. The electrical plugs are ziptied and tucked away. The cut vacuum lines had a patch put in (Y vacuum to straight).

No, I put everything in at once. Everything was stock and while I was doing the mechanical work, I sent the ECU to get reflashed (Stage 2 +EGR Delete) from AARodriguez (JR Tuning).

Yeah, he walked me through a few things like reseating the ecu, checking the plugs, etc., etc. Was hoping someone here might have something that he and I aren't thinking of.

Any CEL lights? do you have access to INPA or ISTA?

Did you disconnect the battery when removing the DDE?

I have all sorts of CEL going on...transmission, xDrive, fuel pump, stability.

Unfortunately, I only have the CARLY BMW app which is very basic. I cleared the codes the other night, hopefully they will come back so I can document them and share. Yes, I disconnected the battery before removing the DDE.
