On an only slightly related topic, is it possible to ADD error checking to the DDE? For example, it would be nice if we could add, or maybe adjust if it already exists, a check engine light for when the stupid thermostat fails on these diesels. Gassers have a SES if the engine fails to reach operating temp. Yet many of us don't know that our thermostat is running 20°C cooler than intended. I understand it's a complex failure mode, with the need to relate operating time, engine load, etc.
