Windshield wipers not aligned with windshield

First post! (4 years after i registered )
Hello all. I recently got my wife a CPO 2013 X5. The car has been great but I've noticed an issue with the wipers. As part of the CPO they replaced the windshield (rock chip) and I don't think the wipers were put back right. The driver side wiper leaves a large unwiped section on the bottom corner about 14 inches high meaning the unwiped rain partially obstructs the vision of my short wife when she drives. Also the top two or three inches of the wiper blade actually goes over the top of the windshield and hits the weather strip and paint on the roof of the car. I tried swapping the passenger/driver blades but the results are even worse as the passenger blade is longer than the drivers blade.

This leads me to think the issue is with the wiper arm. I tried forcing down the blade attachment further into the arm but it won't budge.

Any idea how to fix this? I wanted to avoid the hassle of making a dealer appt just to fix wipers.

TIA

Meet us half way....

post a picture!

If you cant figure it out, we cant do it with words...just drive by and ask them to look at it.... they may bend you over claiming 'wear items not covered" even though the issue seems to be an improper repair. So Id have a chit chat with and SA or a parts guy....

My windshield was replaced and one of the wiper arms was off.

I found measurements or something online and removed the arm and re-positioned it.

The problem of the wiping sounds like either a bent arm or maybe somehow the arms were swapped side to side if this is possible.

I recall there may be a specific arm for each side of the vehicle??

Check BMW Parts Catalog for wiper arm part numbers.

In the realoem catalog seach for wiper arm. On my 2011 it shows two different wiper arms, and id's which is for driver side and for passenger side. This drawing should help you.

The Passenger blade is 20" and the drivers 24". It sounds like they may not be in the correct spots (reversed)
