That previous link was for receiver... So low cost seems to be the new system past 10/10 mfr date, the one by the muffler.

But our pre 10/10 control unit is under driver wheel.. It's bigger than the low cost one

If you want to get rid of TPMS and switch to FTM which uses wheel speed sensors, here's what I did today:

I just got it working. Now it says FLAT TIRE MONITOR in CIC!

On pre 10/10 build date e70, unplug the RDC module which is under the drivers dash:
Follow these directions to get to it... when you unplug and remove it, it will say RDC on it.
https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...s-rims/P0UXnh4

On 10/10 and newer build date e70, unplug the RDC module which is located on a frame rail near the muffler:
See this link for photos: https://xoutpost.com/1121861-post40.html
Or you can see in newtis: https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...-rims/FCVcPPJi

Remove VO $2VB from CAS and FRM (not sure if necessary but did it anyway).

Things to change in coding modules:

Quote:
CIC
--------
RPA_CIC aktiv
RDC nicht_aktiv
RDC_SAFETY nicht_aktiv (already off on e70 but check anyway)

(For non CIC)
CCC
RDC_CCC nicht_aktiv

MASK and Champ
RDC nicht_aktiv

EHB (DSC)
-------
AUSSTATTUNG_RPA aktiv

KOMBI
-------
RDC_VERBAUT nicht_aktiv
RDC_APPL_MONITOR nicht_aktiv

After you do your typical key out, wait a bit, key in start engine.
Go into idrive and see the Flat Tire Monitor, you can reset there.

That's it!

Your pre 10/10 TIS link is not valid. Can you confirm complete URL?

Question, do you think this coding could be done in Carly?

Link fixed. No, Carly doesn't have all of the options that NCS offers. Carly is a canned coding approach- much easier to do specific functions but it doesn't give you direct ways to change individual parameters.
Added CCC and mask/champ coding for the flag !DIRECT_RDC (how I found the ones for e70 using that flag)

Ok. Thanks for all the work. Looked around again today, and definitely not back by the muffler. I'll dig under the drivers wheel this evening, if I get the chance.

Tpms antenna location for pre 10/10 build date e70

The tpms antenna is right under the driver on pre 10/10 e70's. Remove the panel from under the car and you'll see it right there. Hope that helps somebody!

TPM RDC repair

If you're reading this thread for the RDC location perhaps this video will help you fix it ... once you find it and remove it.
