Holy Image Sizing Batman!
![]() 1. That ATF tank under the hood is NOT for the ATF in the transmission! (So the trans can run dry and that tank will still show full.) 2. Hard to know precisely what is leaking- but it seems a safe bet that the pan re-install was messed up. Perhaps carefully check how it is seated? Flashlight, angled mirror. Then recheck torque on each bolt? 3. Otherwise 7 new liters ZF6, remove and re-seat. If you can buy a new gasket I would. |

Did you torque them to the correct specs?
Did you follow the correct sequence when torquing them? There’s an online pdf instructions by ZF. Find and follow it. Did you check the bolts for tightness/ looseness? You know the smell of ATF, so it was not oil pan, or where engine mounts to the transmission. Sleeve seal is dry, that’s good news. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
