I have to disagree with you on this. Painted black trim pieces pull the look together. It was the first thing I did when I got my X5d

can you say, ew?

Those kidneys look like they belong on some stealth fighter jet. The back looks too audi.

The x3 looks like poop as well..the taillights very asian-esqe, borderline nissan maxima/altima/sentra.

E70 will be my next vehicle of choice.

I think they kept a little too much of the f15 in this new version, which I always thought was too "slab sided" and had no character from the driver's door back... and no discernible rear wheel arch or bulge... too flat. Where is all the flame surfacing??

Now they have added a bit of detail character back in, but just barely. No objection to the grille or front style, I don't mind the tailights, but I could do without the tight Lexus style bumper trim right up to the exhaust pipes.

Yes this and the f15 look more homogenized (read: Japanese) than the e70 did, with its funky attitude and bulges.
So, I would rate g05 above f15. And e70 above both!

Rear looks similar to Toyotas now and the oversized grille is no fun.
