Headlights cloudy inside (replacement)

When they are off my headlights like fine & clear but when they are on (sidelights or full beam) it looks a little cloudy on the inside, almost like the bulbs are scorching the plastic somehow, not bad enough to do anything just yet but im guessing it is only going to get worse, has anyone had any joy with something like this.......

Too expensive for one. Should be about 60-70e for one side.

Yes you can remove them. Need to cut the old lenses off. I used a dremel. Changed lenses and painted the internals and added a new led halo while I had them out. Worth doing it!

Very interested myself, so have been looking at other's approach to headlight refresh.

See his (5Xtheproblems) post with pics here: https://xoutpost.com/1111760-post14.html

I've seen a post about removing headlight assembly and rinsing inside with methanol I believe. It removed the cloudy film that forms on inside. The outside can usually be fixed with sanding and clear coating.

I've sanded mine and used Meguiar's clear coat for headlights and while the Passenger Side came out perfect and looks brand new now, the Driver Side is still cloudly and now at night when the lights turn on I can see stress marks all over.

Now it bothers me even more that left and right don't match. I would of preferred both sides to look cloudy together hahaha
