There are no signs of corrosion / water damage anywhere but the trunk, also Carfax was clean, no reported flood damage.
What codes lead you to believe it is a flood car? Would you happen to know what Can / Fault codes are thrown when the Transfer Case Module is bad?

It's the cumulative list that gives the impression of a flood car. Clear everything and see what comes back. Will give you an idea of what relays, fuses, and modules are left to check. Much of your list is no longer present which can mean a few things. 1 your cleaning brought back a module/relay or two in terms of functionality. Or 2 those are historic codes than have been remedied at some point in the past.
I just went through this exact same thing with an E61. Started with something like 50 errors. Needed some relays and a module or two. Have it down to 1 error with the IHKA, but it's a "present" error which is related to something in the unit itself. Edit: BTW, there is no such thing as a cheap BMW.  Bought our wagon for $1200 and have about $2500 in it currently catching up on maintenance, missing parts, and general neglect from previous owners.

Many of my other cars have needed tons of TLC as well, so I am prepared for whatever this one can throw my way.

Sounds like you’re alternator is going bad. Undervoltage/overvoltage=bad alternator. Replace it and be happy. I had similar issues, it’s fixed after replacement. Also make sure you register the battery to the car with the right software. Hope it helps. $350 for new alternator plus labor around $120.

There are a ton of parts that- if they fail due to water damage- can in turn damage up- and down-stream components..
Like , IBS cable, Junction Box (JBE)... these cars have modules that hang on various busses, waiting for control signals and voltages to hit certain numbers. If the control is hosed, you can get these 'christmas tree' error reports. Check out your ground straps too. There is a reason this car showed up at auction..... I actually recall a doctor (MD) who bought a brand new X5 and brand new 535 from Sandy. Figured it would be a fun project. He didnt have a code reader; didnt have ISTA...didnt know how to read BMW schematics. Figured he would just take it all apart and clean contacts. If you ever need a neurosurgeon in NJ, I know someone you should NOT see....

I have read many posts and appreciate this forum immensely, but just realized that I have never updated this post. While some cars on auction are a basket case, some are not. I cleaned up the fuse panel in the trunk (with contact cleaner, lol), repaired the faulty CAN wiring splice underneath which seems to be common, replaced the battery and fried radio components with used parts (PL6 / ULFMULF2 / Telematics Module and DLP Module), changed all the fluids/filters and have been driving it ever since. I adore my E70 and am so glad I took a gamble on it. Best 5K ever spent.
