I personally love the look, and if I still had my '08 I'd install. but they don't look right on the m-sport bumper that's on my 2013.

I've read through the directions, and it looks like it basically just bolts through the plastic of the front bumper cover, through holes that I would drill. Is that correct? Or am I missing something?

You are absolutely correct and the mounts are in this kit too. From what I've seen they are mounted in a "thicker" area along with the custom washers that reinforce the mounting and the bumper too. Are they strong enough to push a car or go flying through the brush, no. They are more asthetic in nature.

Ballocks- I was hoping for it to be pretty sturdy. I'm going to hold off on it then- while it looks great, I might have to make my own and tie it into the tow hook mounts to have it be decently sturdy.

Completely understand. You will have to build/buy something custom in that sense as these were never made for "rough adventure like that.

Not saying that its a flimsy POS thats going to rip through the bumper the first time you lean against it. That is not the case either, but it is not a push bar either.

I'm certainly not expecting to winch from it, but I'd like to be able to push a car in neutral, something like that. Mostly for looks, but don't want it to damage if I go to actually use it.

Hate to say it but it would be too high for you to do that, your physical bumper would probably hit first or maybe the side bars where they mount to the bumper. Then it would press against the bumper bar. So, yes it would work and probably not damage anything, but I wouldn't push any car any great distance regardless.

Yeah, I don't think it will work with that bumper primarily due to the location of your fog lights. The bar has a mount point that may need to go into or very near those lights.

740iS, PMd you for bull bar. I have an '09 so I am pretty sure it would fit. Thanks.
