New Arnott airsprings installed today... worked 4 hours

So, waiting on the part now hoping it will be fast and be on my way in 2 hrs. Good thing I brought a cigar with me... makes time go faster I guess.

Wow ouch on "new ≠ fixed" when using branded part. You don't need contact info for seller if bought with 30 days on Amazon. You can just go to the order to send back for a refund

Spoke to Amazon, who was trying to get in touch with the 3rd party seller and they told me there is no number listed for them. In any event, the shop got me a new one locally, installed it and the one pictured is on it's way back to the seller. Thanks guys, keeping fingers crossed.

Just spoke to Arnott, they got my photo and they are puzzled as have not seen many of these defects. In any event it's lifetime warrantied as long as I have the vehicle and receipt from any company.

I've never seen that failure mode. Makes me wonder if an error was made during install.

Took him 10 minutes to replace the defective one after the part arrived. Shop guy said they deal with Benz, Rover and BMW air springs quite often and they have not seen one like this either... but who knows.

It does look like a factory defect to me too bad they don't pay for the labor.

I had the same thing happen to my front Arnott air strut. It set off the alarm when it let go.
At least mine lasted a few weeks.
