Did you use the valve body and egs (mechatronics/trans computer) from your old trans? Or did you separate your old egs from the valve body and install it into the the new valve body?

I separated them, so new valvebody stayed but mechatronics was swapped. I also reset adaptations so it would re-learn shiftpoints etc.

I have, but since I already replaced the trans and that made an immediate difference it seems that isn't wher ehte problem lies. Also usually transfer case issues stem from tight turning radius at low speed issues as well as codes.

Any CAN errors in any systems? Specifically DME EGS VTG ? Have you tried a different accelerator pedal assembly?

You can have straight line shuddering too if the clutch modulation is incorrect.

Just out of curiosity.. did you try driving with Traction control off to see if the hesitation changed?

No but good suggestion, I will try this tonight!

No CAN errors since I replaced the bad waterpump. This car now has no codes and besides this issue runs great.

I should also add/update that I had the new EGS/trans ECU virginized and installed it into this new trans hoping the problem would go away, it didn't, zero change.
