We were on the highway last month, got rear ended. Car was totalled. Ended up being a blessing in disguise. Took payout and bought a 2020 X3 with 20k miles.

Sadly, while I absolutely adore my 2011 X5d and would hate to lose it, this is realistically the only way I could replace it semi-economically. I don't even know what I want or would look for. Probably another diesel even though diesel has skyrocketed to about 30% more than even premium gasoline when it used to be just a few cents more than low-grade around here. A Porsche Cayenne looks cool and for some reason the Jaguar F-PACE, too. Wouldn't mind another X5, of course.

Sorry to hear that! Not the “ending” I expected. Enjoy the new ride. My buddy has one and they absolutely love it.
