Most probably. BMW colored the X3 bumpers after 2 years of release so I don't think they will make that mistake again.

Not bad. I'm not feeling the location of the exhausts so far outboard. I think it looks less sporty that way. I think the overall look has softened and looks more plump than muscular and sporting. I know I'm biased but I think the current X5 is pretty tough to top.

Might be alone, but I like the "boxiness" of the new shape..More defined lines..Still havent been able to figure out the headlights though...Im sure that will be the biggest impression by far...

A 4.0 liter what? A V-8? The displacement doesn't seem characteristic for an inline 6, and BMW has made small displacement V-8's before, but why a tweener engine?

"BMW also is contemplating whether to offer a new common-rail 4.0-liter V8 turbodiesel in the States at some point. For American buyers, a six-speed Steptronic will be the only transmission choice."

I heard the 3.0d was to arrive before the 4.0 V8 turbodiesel.

In regards to the camouflage, they're making the mules look as ugly as possible. They gotta save something for when the wraps finally do come off.

Its ok I guess. The rear just looks like an X3 though. The whole car has been softened it seems. Will reserve judgment until I see one with high spec and 20" rims!!

You cant compare a current model 4.8is with a 3.0ise at the moment in terms of looks so lets wait and see what the top of the range looks like.

A new '4.0' will probably be a variation of whatever the M3 is getting.

the 'less boxy' look might have something to do with cutting the weight down to get better mileage.

It seems that the door sills are much higher than the current X5. Kinda looks like more and more cars are going that way. The chrysler 300 being the most apparent model going the way of higher door sills.
I hope that the lights high up on the rear next to the rear windows is just tape and not actually rear taillights Like those that are on the volvo Suv. I hate that look. I actually would not buy an 07 if they came with rear lights like that. But over all i like the 07 alot and it doesnt look much different than the E53. I think thats one reason why they relocated the exhaust pipes. Because it looks so much like the E53 BMW wanted something very obvious like the new tailpipe locations to differentiate the 2.
