RTTI (real time traffic info).
I heard from m5board.com that if you get HD radio you have to delete the RTTI.  Hopefully this would not be the case with the E70.

Not sure, but I'd think it will only be useful to you being in LA and in the US only in a few cities. Who transmits the data for it? Who pays for the data info?

Sounds the same as RDS-TMC - Traffic Message Channel - available in Europe for the last few years.
We pay extra for TMC compatible discs as they include a TMC End User licence. In the UK the RDS_TMC data is carried by Classic FM, national VHF FM radio network, so as long as you can receive Classic FM you get you TMC data. I think in Europe it was only available in UK, France and Germany although the network and availability may be increasing
