i read the manual and i was confuse too, it doesn't show wut flashlight is suppose to come with, or where it goes, that's y i started this thread

i guess mystery solved...

no socket, no charger, batteries...

it's not rechargable...but what's the manual talking about? optional flashlight?

and where are you supposed to put that? Won't work in the trunk, looks ugly in the dash.
So all X5's will get the steel battery light? Or just 4.8?
I'm confused.

It seems odd that the 07 would use a cig. lighter, especially if there isn't one in the glove box. Here are some pics of the one in my 03 4.4

Who cares..it's a $2.00 flashlight. I personally didn't buy this vehicle because of a cheap flashlight and I could careless if it was included or not.
