e70 sport seat headrest

i realized after i purchased the headrest doesnt move. can i replace the headrest only with a comfort seat headrest?

ps-ridiculous that had i chosen comfort seats i would have had to throw away $1200

What do you mean "don't move" They move up/down using the seat back adjuster....just push down or pull up on it....and it should motor up/down.

they're 10-way adjustible. true and i had discussions about what are the 10-ways...they include 2-way height powered headrests

that must be a great surprise to know that your seat does that

this headrest is about 4" further back than my old x5. so i need to move it up, as the old headrest did.

Are they similar to the E53? What I mean is do you need to push them firmly forward to release the ratchet mechanism and then pull back to desired position.

Same here. Thinking of replacing them also. They only move up-down.
