Hi guys,

Currently own a 2006 X5 3.0i 6-sp MT (E53).
I understand this post is old from 2007...

But wife wants a newer E70, such as 2010-2011 6-cylinder automatic.

I am familiar with the E53 mechanical issues (CCV, OFH gasket etc. etc.).

I understand that the E70 has the electric water pump that may need replacement at 70K or so.

In terms of repairs, what are the differences between E70 vs E53?
- Any computer issues?
- Any AT issues?
- Any peculiar issues?
