If you don't have Navigation, I wonder what type of software upgrade was done for you and for what issue?

I am wondering what is the latest version being used to upgrade E70 now and if all the earlier issues has been resolved?

My SA swears that my car has been updated with version 25.004. If this is the case, I can tell you that it does not resolve the lost RTTI problem. The SA also says that there is a "rumor" of a new version being available shortly, but the dealership (Chicago, IL) does not have it yet.

I am holding up for an update that actually resolves majority of the issues reported earlier including RTTI. I went to the dealer for an oil change but I flatly refuse any type of software update due to the known issues. That was at least 3 weeks ago and I am wondering if other people received the very latest upgrade and would like to know their feedback!!!!

I had mine updated to the newest release about two weeks ago. It fixed the RTTI issue. The SA told me 25.1.01 was the latest version, which is what was installed on my vehicle.

So far, so good. It's almost impossible to know if it didn't break anything else, as so many things are controlled by the software. For example, I saw that there was a software version that changed the behavior of the heated seats. I never would have thought about that.

Thanks for the update! What about the tranny issue? Is it fixed as well with the 25.1.01 update?

I don't know that BMW has ever acknowledged a problem with the transmission. I haven't personally experienced it---or if I have, it wasn't something I could pick up on.

I've seen other threads on this, and have never really had anything tangible stating what symptoms I would look for. (Other than complete failure.) So, I can't answer the question on the transmission fix.

My X5 was just updated. I asked to confirm the software version and was told 25.2
I dont know what actual version this is, could be 25.02.00, or 25.2, but based on recent threads the last known version that solved all the RTTI and VC issues was 25.01.01, so I assume this is later than that.

The tech also mentioned that this version updated the transmission software and fixed several known issues...I didnt really experience any issues so not sure what this meant.

I am picking up the X on the way home so I should have more info then.

I just picked it up...as reported UI is nicer, it seems a bit faster- not much. A few little improvements like:
1. Map stays up when restarting car (dont have to go back thru menus)
2. POI search now
3. Audio sources now go instantly to source, no need to enter "play"
4. Arrow pops up when navigating on smaller screen (but this does not work when nav is selected in HUD)
5. Route line on map is now much clearer
6. Bluetooth connects faster

BTW-
The tech stated he installed ver 25.2 (I asked twice)
RTTI is working, Voice Command is working, evertyhing works great and it was installed in one day.

All my settings are intact, except the 6 preset buttons for the IDrive, they are all gone.
