Software Updated !

I just returned from dealer with the new Progman V25 software and I can confirm the following:

Different background color, no color in the main menu for the four main choices, only the colored arrows pointing towards them remain, you can search by distance or by name of a restuarant, the screen will now go back to the last one used instead of always deafaulting to the main menu screen. Further changes:

- The iDrive including NAV appears to react much faster!
- In split display modes, the smaller right one is able to automatically change from map/perspective view to the arrow view when you approach an intersection and goes back to the map/perspective afterwards
- A few new layouts

And other changes in icons.
Nav is a lot sharper and the white line indication guidance on the map is now much thicker and much more apparent.

AND I CAN ALSO CONFIRM THAT YOU CAN NOW CHOOSE POIS by NAME !!! ( Hooray ! )

I will post pics on Thursday when I get a chance.

Im sorry....typo...yes I HAVE RETURNED....and I do have the above.
I will keep all news on this thread now.

I just mentioned that I had the "pop up arrow" prob ( which I did ! ) and they referred to the bulletin that was posted on this forum and did the update !

http://www.bmwtis.com/tsb/bulletins/...p/B846106g.htm

Try it your self and you may well experience the same prob....remember to choose a destination, start guidance, choose map for your main screen and then say onboard info or trip computer for small assistance window.
If the voice guidance is turned off ( because she is annoying and you dont want her to interrupt your fav song ) then the assistance window ought to pop up with the arrow for route guidance at an intersection say automatically and then disappear after you have followed it....voila....the pop up doesnt appear ( UNLESS OF COURSE YOU CHOOSE ARROW DISPLAY IN THE ASSISTANCE WINDOW....but some of us like to have teh onboard info there.....hope thats clear )

Im confused...do you have your car back or not? Have you personally confirmed these features?

Just a suggestion, you might want to consider keeping this all in one thread rather than a new thread every day. "I Drive Update", Software updated !", etc.

Thanks for the update and info. I really look forward to hearing and seeing more!

Did RTTI get truned on? In mine the option is not there, since I drive to the US from time to time it would be nice to have.

I'm getting my software updated to progman 25 too. From what I understand there are 2 versions of 25; the first one screwed up RTTI and the second one fixed it.
