I have multi-contour seats and the seat heaters work as advertised.

Perhaps it is only for the confort seats ? I have the sport seats.

Here what normaly appears, but not on mine !

Have you asked the dealer? tried mine today with the heater on and still do not get the option to adjust. As I said the seat is a lot hotter than the back rest. So I think this is a problem.

The price for seat heating is the same for sport or standard seats therfore one would assume the heat distriution function should be the same.

Does anybody with the standard seats (with memory) have the distribution working.

Is there a place on this forum to actually check the specs of the various seats.

I'm the same - just been out to check - I have standard seats with heating and I do not get the option for distribution.

Have you asked the dealer? The seating option for all seats seems to be the same price so if the sports seats have the distribution The others should also have. Lets try get some clarification from BMW on this.

I didn't ask the dealer, because he probably not know the answer

With my sport seats and memory, I definitively not have the iDrive distribution.

My dealer has someone who's job is going over the car on delivery including an extensive set up/explanation process for all the electronics. This took well over an hour and we've called him a few times to clarify a few things so maybe your dealer has someone like that you can call, if not there must be people in the service dept. that can help you.

My dealer called the product marketing manager for BMW X5 Sa and he did not know the answer to the heating distribution and would find out and come back to me. Hope to hear some thing soon

Anybody have any answer on this one. Called the agent and they have no answer.
I can control the distribution on mine. When I first got the car, when you hit the seat heater button, the iDrive popped up the seat heater distribution screen. I had a trailer hitch installed and I think they updated the software. Anyway, now the seat heater distribution screen doesn't pop up when you turn on the seat heat (but is still available). However, if you hit the vent seeting buttons, that screen pops up.

Very strange...

Anyway, the seat heater distribution is under the climate menu on the same set of items as vent setting.
