Parts delay for E70

Hi Guys...

I'm wondering if anyone has experience a parts delay for E70s. My 4.8i has been in the shop for 3 weeks now as the parts are the steering column and rear camera replacement are back ordered. My steering column area rattles around bumps, so they are replacing some of the surrounding trim and the rear camera malfunctions with an error message.

While I've been waiting very patiently as I really do love this car, I've never had to wait this long for any BMW part to come in, including a whole new engine when my M3 valves failed.

Has anyone else with an E70 experienced parts backorder and has it been this long? To top it off, when they were attempting to program the rear camera, the idrive crashed and now they are awaiting new software from the factory.

Being that its a lease, I just don't like the idea of paying $900 a month for a car that I can't drive. And now, the X3 loaner I got is starting to crap out. The ABS or DSC comes on around corner, braking the front-right wheel and the 4x4 light goes off and the Passenger Air Bag is always off, even when a passenger is in the seat. But I haven't complained since the dealer takes the approach that I'm lucky enough to get a loaner car.

Should I call BMW Customer Service for assistance, or is time waiting period normal for a relatively new model car?
