Runflat punctured !

I had no problems getting my Bridgestone RFT fixed, as I knew it had not been driven with under 22 psi (which was the danger point according to my tire dealer).

The Continental Tire website specifically says that their RFTs can not be repaired. I would tend to believe the tire manufacturer.

Update..

Two weeks wait on the Continental Runflat - none in the country

... sound familiar ? The tyre has been repaired in the meantime.. unofficially I should order the new runflat.. which is around $800 AUD.. based on the driving I did when flat i.e about 5 km prior to reinflating , and the inspection of the tyre by the repairer I may well not order the tyre and leave as is...but of course that is not what I will do of course

I am glad you were able to repair it.
If I may humbly suggest, please order a non RFT and wheel and keep it in the garage to serve as a temproary replacement should you have a flat in the future.
That was what I did with mine till I replaced the tyres.

I got the dreaded TPWS boing yesterday. Bridgestone RFT with damage on it quite close to the sidewall. Looking at it, I suspect it will need to be replaced. Only question is how long will I have to wait to get one!

I got mine repaired.... even though I should get a new one... well guess what I ain't gonna.. hopefully for you they either can repair it or have them in stock... it is no use to me for BMW to say you can't repair them when it's a two week wait for a new one because there is no stock... !!!

You can repair them as long as it is not the sidewall and they use a special high heat repair kit and compound specifically designed for runflats. Here in Canada it will run you $100.00.

I just brought in mine at JMK BMW with a puncture one of the grove and was told by the SA that they DO NOT Repair RTF. I was told that I need to purchase a new one, cost $335 including mounting for an 18' rim. Good thing I have tire insurance. But I don't understand why dealership keeps telling people that they cannot repair RTF when people here in the forum were able to have their RTF repaired? Is this their way of making money or repaired RTF poses risk?
