If you select a destination in the nav and have the smaller screen set to current location and the large screen set to the Map. You are suposed to get the turn by turn arrow to pop up on the smaller screen as you approach a turn. If this doesnt happen, you can complain about this bug and the dealer will reprogram the vehicle.

Make sure they have this update first, as I just had mine updated and it is not this version.
My version is not that old and unfortunately that function works on my nav

How do you go about determining what version of the software you have?

I'll get this at next service..

I have a bluetooth mute problem, will be complaining about volume differences in different sources, make something up about 6FL and also the Steering wheel memory... I'll have enough to get the update that's for sure.

Although I will wait in case the latest release has introduced new bugs !!!

i just got updated.
don't have that feature.
i was in the back and i saw that my version was 27 but not 27.1
the dealer doesn't have 27.1 yet.
i was told at my next visit if they do have it, it will be put on as they update every vehicle that comes in.

dealer told me that it's due out next month, and that it's a CD rom update as it's too large to download over the internet.. I would imagine if it's that large of a software update, it has a lot of changes more than just the PDC.. anyone know what else it has?

I just got back the E70 from the dealer to fix the DVD problem.

Guess what. They upgraded me to 27.1 to fix the DVD issue. They didn't have to change the DVD drive. My daughter has been playing around with the DVD and so far it is problem free. We'll see what happens. Hopefully, this is the fix. I know there are others out there who are having intermittent problems with their RES. The only pain is I have to reprogram all my Idrive settings. Seems to have wiped out everything after the upgrade.

I thought I also had a problem with the steering wheel not returning to position but it looks like it is fixed now.

I also got the rear back up camera split screen with PDC. Pretty cool.

I was hoping the new software would also fix the problem on my Treo 750 not pairing with the BT car kit. Guess not. That's too much to ask from BMW
