Gotta go now, Elvis just arrived for our weekly poker game ( back at ya)
and bergs, I still say you got a very good deal if you got $5,000 off MSRP on new 2008 X5. I'm just not sure why any dealer would feel the need to give a price like that.

I never think to buy E70 4.8i cuz its bad handling, really like a boat when compared with E53 4.6is or 4.8is

I would buy 3.0 instead, it will be more afforadable, and it is the fact that no need the power of 4.8i for a big truck.

Whatever...As I said, anyone can make stuff up. Give me the name of your dealer and SA and let me verify. Otherwise I think you can go back to playing D&D with your other pimple-faced buddies. I think the majority of people here who do not have their heads up there asses will agree your deal is very unlikely, unless there are the aforementioned conditons as part of the deal (trade-in, etc.) I see why you had to reply the way you did though...Sucks getting called out, doesn't it?

I see you have not driven one. Anyone who thinks it handles bad or like a boat is either a troll or misinformed. I have driven both, and the only thing I can say is the handling on both models is great, but the ride on the E53 was much rougher. Not as bad as the earliest X3's, but still not in the same league as the E70. If you disagree, please see how many people you can find who will side with you. Maybe bergs will since he is living in a fairy land. I would have one of my fleet of E70's shipped over for you to compare, but Hugh Hefner wants me to come over and help pick out his new girlfiriend, so I am too busy at the moment

What you say has merit, but it is a very difficult argument to make - that this SAV isn't one of, if not the, best handling SAVs on the market.

When my wife and I did our test drives, we drove 4 SAVs in this class and SHE noticed how well a non-sport 4.8i X5 drove when compared to the others. This is my wife who could care less about cars and driving in general -

Cheers,
KEF
