Now with DPC included our AWD system is ready to be fully marketed . even appearing in the model nomenclature. Similar case with sDrive.

Wow, that is very confusing. It makes no sense.

(pardon me asking, but what is DPC?)
edit: nevermind, it is bmw's SH-AWD. But I still can't fathom how stupid one must have been to come up with naming so confusing....

Wow. What an awful mouthful and stupid decision. The "sDrive" and "xDrive" part seem completely unnecessary, and they sound confusingly similar when you pronounce them.

Why the hell are they doing this? In the normal "i" models (335i), RWD is implicit and doesn't need to be put in with the model name (sDrive??? WTF???). The same is true for the SUVs---there's nothing wrong with the current system! If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

I'm surprised the acronyms are in English and not of German origin. Or mayhaps the 2 languages are really similar.
