Pressing "P" while driving??

from transmission technical manual it says

Parking Lock "P"

The parking lock "P" is engaged by pressing the button at the top of the selector lever when the vehicle speed is < 2 km/h.
The gearbox also automatically selects "P" as soon as the engine is turned off and "N" is not engaged.

I belive that you can not engage the parking if the car is moving faster than the indicated speed.

well I believe if there were a missle launch button, that is the exact place that it should be. Maybe BMW should add a machine gun trigger onto the backside of the joystick. I bet that would make driving much more fun!
