agreed... window switches are misplaced. I always hit rear ones first as well. wish the damn radio would stay off when I turn it off, and then stop the engine. Having to turn it off twice is ultra annoying.

The seat-belt chimes. Especially the passenger side, I can't even put my laptop bag on it without the warning chime going off. I mean how many pounds does it take before it think someone is in the seat and needs their seat-belt on???

I keep the passenger seatbelt engaged when I'm the only one in the car so that warning doesn't go off

my steering wheel doesnt move when i turn off my 08 4.8i sport.
the ac on is a little annoying. always hitting the rear window controllers is mildly annoying. i wish the radio turned off when you hit stop/start.

getting my x coded made it way more awesome. no idrive disclaimer, no seatbelt chimes, all key fob options to control windows. unfortunately we couldnt get the m hud to work

only annoying thing that really bugs me is the rear hatch seems to not want to open sometimes unless I use the interior button

Press and hold the start/stop button when turning the vehicle off and the radio will turn off.

The 2 stopping points for the doors when open... My garage is rather narrow. My X5 has to be parked at a specific distance from the nearest wall which is unfortunately too close for the door to open fully without hitting the wall. The only other point where the door stops when open makes the opening too narrow to easily move my son in and out of his car seat... How about more stopping points or a mechanism to hold the doors wherever one wants them after opening them (doesn't the new 7 series have that?).

The parking brake is useless.

From 30K miles till now (100K) it has never held a hill. Each time I took it to the dealer they just tightened the cables using the adjusting bolts on the parking lever so that it would hold for a few weeks. Never bothering to fix the root problem (the ratcheting teeth on the handbrake lever were worn down).

After 50K when I looked into this myself, I could see both the worn teeth and that the fact that the cable has been tightened to it's limit. When I complained to BMW their solution was that I need a new $900 brake lever.

-Cheapass Nevada leatherette. No way thats actual leather.
-no armrest padding for doors or center console
-parking sensor button isnt located more conveniently
-i always hit the rear windows buttons
-no ALL button on climate system
-weak air volume coming from left dash vents
-useless running boards actually make it HARDER to get in and out
-cant read HUD w/ polarized sunglasses
-Active ventilated seats doubly suck- no vent power whatsoever, and the active function is extremely uncomfortable
