Which 20' Tire? Bridgestone or Michelin?

Hi, all,

I have had it with the Dunlop runflats and am thinking about switching to regular tires, i do have a spare. The choice is somewhat limited so i am stuck between Michelin Latitude Tour HP or Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport. Does anyone have either of those tired on his/her car?

Thanks in advance

Why not the Toyo Proxes S/Ts? Another viable option if you didn't know. Been great for me so far.

And much cheaper then the Diamari OEM alternative.

Out of curiousity, why don't you like the Dunlop's? So far I am very happy with them. I find the ride and performance so much better than Michelin Diamaris.

I think that the side walls are too stiff, which makes every little crack on the road feel like a pot hole. Additionally, when driving aggressively, I can't feel the moment when the car is about to start sliding, which, I think, is common to all run flats. Plus, I think they are very noisy and of course the price. I have the extra tire warranty but still, it is kinda ridiculous. BTW, I do drive very aggressively.

P.S I had to replace my front ones at 11k miles due to noise. That alone should be enough to dump them, I should have swapped them out then--- What was I thinking

Thanks

Hello,

Only 3 manufacturers propose tires in the dimensions (Front: 275/40/R20, Rear: 315/35/R20), the indications of speed (W: Front & Rear) and load (Front: 106, rear: 110) of X5 in 20" :
- Vredestein (Ultra Suv Sessenta)

- Yokohama (Advan ST)

- Bridgestone (Dueler Sport HP)

Personally, I shall replace Dunlop Run Flat by Vredestein

Actually, there are are lot more that make it in the 4.8 size (below). Personally, I've always bought Michelin and would get the Latittude. Michelin's have the best ride and durability. My $.02.

It also matters if he wants summer-only or all-seasons, as that will narrow the field down a lot more.

I am in Texas, so all-season tires are not necessary. However, in tire rack tests, the Michelins performed really well even though they are all-season. I wonder which one will last longer? Also, the Bridgestones are OE and cheaper, and now they are on back order---great. I still have no idea what to get!
