If I'm driving I prefer the X5, but if I'm a passenger our ML350 is way more comfy and DRAMATICALLY quieter than my X5 (incl much less wind noise). But our X5 is an E70 which is one generation older than our ML350 (W164 series). So, it's not quite an apples to apples comparison.
