I am not expecting an announcement on the X5 LCI at NAIAS. BMW released a video of their highlights (announcements), which included the Z4 sDrive35is, ActiveHybrid X6 ActiveHybrid 7, and ActiveE concept. Nothing about the X5.

Thoughts?

I can't find any concrete evidence the X-5 is getting the 407 HP engine from the X-6...same few people posting on all the different forums.Spoke with the manager of my dalership yesterday who swears there have been no memo's upto now stating this that she is aware of.They said the BMW rep was coming wed and they would ask but as far as they know the 2011 are going into production in march but no news about new engines ...yet.......

Spoke with my dealership again.They have no news on the engine changes being talked about on all these forums.I specifically asked about the X-6 5.0 and they say they have not heard anything to that effect.

The ignorance of some sales is astonishing. In this case, no offical BMW word has been released yet.

When I tried to put my name of a pre-order for the 35d (before it officially available at the dealers). The sales told me that there won't be a diesel. I told him that BMW already put out a press release indicating the X5 and 3 series diesel.

I trust the information from this forum much more than what some dealerships tell me.

u mean diesel r discontinued?

This may have been addressed earlier in this thread, but at 36 pages (& counting), thought I would bring it up freshly...have we heard any rumors about whether or not we'll be getting the new 8-speed auto?

This really suck! I'm set to take delivery of my '10 35d on 1/26! I bet that the day after I take delivery all of the details will come out about a great new LCI facelifted awesome-o model X5d hitting showrooms in April.

Well I took a leap of faith based on what everyone here is saying...and have gotten in line for the 2011 hoping that they replace the 4.8 with the TTv8...was going to get a loaded 4.8 with an m sport package...holiday cash, 7 msd's and all...just hope the lease programs are decent when the LCI is launched...
