***PIX OF THE NEW X5*** (Still a work in progress). Enjoy!

Here are few pictures of the new X5. This is a fully loaded 2009 E70 X5 4.8i Sport. Jet Black on Black. What I really like is the massage feature in the drivers side seat. Not even my M5 has this. I wasn't too sure about the Active Ventilated Seat package at first, since I never use the AC seats in my M5. However, the massage feature was well worth it. I also requested at the time of delivery that NO front bracket be mounted to the front bumper of the car. The dealer obliged, even though it's illegal not to have a front plate in NY State. I think the car looks so much cleaner and love that I have no drill holes or marks in the front bumper. I do this with all my cars.

Here's what I've done thus far:
  1. High Gloss Black Kidney Grills
  2. High Gloss Black X5 Rear Emblem
  3. High Gloss Black 4.8 Side Emblems - I removed the "XDrive" Emblem and removed the "i" as well.
  4. 6000K Xenons
  5. 8500K GP Thunder Angel Eyes (White Angel Eyes)
  6. 6000K HID Fogs
  7. Carbon Fiber Roundels (Hood, Trunk and Wheels)
  8. Medium Tinted Side Signals (Sprayed)
  9. Dark Tinted Front Yellow Reflectors (Yellow is gone)
  10. Llumar Tint (5% Rear, 35% Front)
  11. LED Super White Rear License Plate Bulbs

Here's what's in progress:
  1. E70 Aero Kit
  2. Powdercoating wheels a light Graphite color
  3. Tinting Tails & Rear Red Reflectors
  4. Wheel Spacers
  5. H&R Springs (Maybe. I'm still on the fence about this...)
  6. Hardwire V1 Radar
  7. SprintBooster
  8. Aluminum Pedals
  9. Spray a coat of silver paint on the front, orange, side signal bulbs to remove the "egg yolk" effect.

I'll post more pictures, once complete.

I ordered an extra 4.8 set and had them painted a High Gloss Black. There's a dealer on the East Coast that sells OEM BMW Parts at a 25% discount.

Ha, we have much in common.

I too have an Indianapolis Red M5, and a Silver Grey X5 4.8i. Haven't done much modding, other than removing carbon filters on M5. Love these cars as sweet as they are stock.

Only thing I wish is BMW would pull head out of arse and put some pretty calipers and rotors on their cars, ala MB or Audi, heck even Dodge SRT has Brembos...

You need to add a few mods, esp to the M5. The difference is night and day. I could never imagine going back to my stock M5. Way too slow.
