Happens when you hold the key down to unlock it.

Man, your very lucky that your car was still there when you returned
or that someone hadn't trashed it whilst you were away from it with all the windows open. That would scare the shisters out of me if that happened to my car and I wasn't expecting it.

So, do I have the ventilation timer on if so how do I stop it or did I hold the button down too long. Could have happened in my pocket????

e90's had this problem when they first came out. a ground signal in the rear window glass signals the comfort opening to operate. another situation would be a software error in the CAS.

I didn't have a ventilation timer on my E53. I had the remote in my pocket and I sat on it. Seems plausible.
