Vehicle is a 2007 with +/- $30,000 miles on it. Literally, and I mean literally, not a single blemish on this vehicle anywhere. Not a dent, ding, chip, scratch, tear, or anything showing that it wasn't built yesterday. It had a clear bra across the entire front, mirrors, door jambs, etc, which I peeled off upon delivery. I paid low $40k's for the car, which I think is really fair. It was purchased through an auto broker here in Atlanta through a Mercedes dealership. Easiest transaction of my entire life. Arrived at the dealer at 6:00, was driving into the sunset at 6:10. Almost too easy.

Also as an FYI, the 22x10 Mint forged wheels with 285.35.22 Pirelli tires are approximately 3 lbs lighter than the stock 20's with tires. Ride is absolutely superb. Surprised the hell out of me...

Not to hijack this thread, but I've seen plenty of people modding their new E70's like me.

I had a conversation with the parts guy I know at the dealer. He says it doesn't matter what it is. New or used...now there are tons of people wanting to make their cars "unique". He told me just the other day that he has never been busier. He said you would never know the economy sucks in this place.

BTW...I don't mean for this to sound like a negative rant. Just voicing my opinion.

The wheels look great/sick! Since its an 07, make sure you get the throttle/tranny update to get a smoother off-the-line response.
Also I guess those are new side badges? (09's had the X-Drive logo) on the side...

Already did the throttle and tranny updates. The 2 to 1 downshift when slowing down was awful before the update, perfect after the update, but in the past day or two has reverted to how it was before the update. Can't quite figure that one out but I am taking it back to the dealer again to see what's up.

Ride has a lot to do with the tires. I'm pretty surprised how stiff the ride on the X35D non-sport is, damn runflats.

Modding seems to be a Northeast and California thing. On the most part most people don't start taking down parts on a brand new car they just spent $70K on. The majority of it happens on used cars where the parts are already a little worn/people want a performance boost or updated look as the car is a aged a little.

Well, luckily I am in the business of wheels and tires (see Butler Tire in Atlanta GA - Tires and Wheels for all Cars Trucks and SUV's), my family's company. The wheels retail for about $1600 each, and the tires are about $300 each, so some quick math will get you, um, a pretty large number quite quickly.

Some of the better looking aftermkt wheels I've seen on an X, imo!
And, I really like how that wheel size and slight lowering finally fill
up the wheel wells.
