Roman - sounds like you have a good idea of what you want and if I were faced with the same decisions for the wheels, I'd say the same. Comfort seats instead of the current sports activity pkg is a good compromise too. But for the adaptive drive, you can't tell that it's working with just straightaways doing 80mph. Drive it through some curved onramps etc. at a good speed and give that a test. You may find it's still sufficient but you should still see with and without. I love how I can take the same onramp around here without braking whereas a regular passenger car has to (other cars in the family included) - it gives me warm fuzzies. I will say that the $3500 price tag they put on it alone makes for a tough decision. As for the wheel gap, I'm not sure why there would be more than others if that's what you're saying...

rh71 - I was reading through some threads last night and I came to the same conclusion regarding the adaptive drive. I have always been a huge fan of the sport suspensions by BMW, but it comes down to 2 things for me.

1st - the price...you're right $3500 takes me well past my budget, not sure if I can get this one past the wifey

2nd - wheel well gap. what I mean by this is on an E70 sport (adaptive drive) vs non-sport suspension. Does the E70 sit lower and have a more aggressive stance with the sport suspension? I would assume that it does, but not sure. The problem is, if I decide to go without the adaptive drive, then when I add the larger wheels if it does not look right (sits higher than an E70 with the same wheels ex. 3.0 sport with 20" y-spokes- your E70) then I am going to want to lower the vehicle to give it the same or perhaps lower stance. This might actually work out better, but I would be concerned about other potential problems occuring with the suspension down the road. IMHO the E70 you drive looks great this is the look I am after.

It should still be the same height and gap. Previously, the only exterior visual differences for a vehicle with sport pkg / suspension were the OEM wheel types + factory fender flares (on 4.8 only) and the chrome trim around the windows (4.8 without sport). To obtain the same look for your 35d, you'd have to add fender flares on your own after your wheels and that's it.

Well if thats the case then thats good news. I was almost positive that the sport suspension would give the E70 a lower stance in order to achieve improved handling capabilities. Well I guess this makes my decision a little easier, just based on cost now. Thanks!

- Sport PKG (No change)
- Comfort PKG, no longer exists....options moved into (Exec and Premium)
- Activity PKG, no longer exists
- Running Boards a standalone option now.

He was saying that there's going to be an M Sport PKG now in Canada for the 3.0 and 4.8 (not the 35d so doesn't help me)

Waiting on email from the dealer with the order sheet...I will try to post that when I get it.
I got the package details...pricing is suppose to come out this week. I'll post the Canadian packages in the 2010 pricing thread.

So I cracked and called my SA (really didn't want to come across as desperate ) - I left a VM and missed his call today.

So in his VM, he said my order is now being painted!!! ( YAY-I thought they forgot about me!! )

Any thoughts how long it would take from that stage?

(trying not to get tooooo excited)
