Regarding my other question, I found out that I DO need the BMWVIM if I want the factory DVD changer to play because there is supposedly no video out? At least, that's what the store told me, so I purchased that. They were also saying that the BMW56 CAN only has video inputs and I need to purchase an FM modulator for audio inputs. Was this something that you also needed with this cable connection for the IPOD? I'm starting to get confused. I already have the OEM ipod adaptor and I wish there was a way to integrate that...
Whay yr is ur vehicle? Mine is aa '08. I used the audio jack in the center pedestal console for my audio needs. Also, the Rear Entertainment System has abuilt in FM modulator so I have 2 methods to obtain Audio.

Also, the OEM IPOD adaptor is for audio only, not video. Thats why In opted for the BMW56 can. Did u find the cable adapter yet, The one for aprox $40?
