Two Questions

Attached are two photos.

In the photo showing electronics in the left rear of the vehicle, what is the silver module at the tip of the finger?

In the second photo, how does one remove the panel holding the lighting switch?

I'll thank all in advance,
Dick

My uneducated guesses:

1: Look for a sticker on the underside of the box.
2: Pull out the A/C vent to access the next panel down.

For removing the light switch, if it's anything like older BMWs, you have to remove the trim/vent above it.

2) seems you have a peeling light switch too... I noticed it on mine once someone else started that quality thread a few days ago. Can't believe it.

I hope they will cover this under warranty and not claim it's wear & tear and not cover it. Mine isn't so bad that I need it replaced yet but if they're starting to deny claims I should raise the issue.
