Sirius settings with Idrive

I have a 2010 X5d, with Sirius. Has anyone figured a decent way to control the sirius stations in the idrive?

I've set up my presets (in idrive), but it only lists the stations, not the artists or music.

How is everyone else controlling their music. I just haven't figured out a way that "works for me".

Thanks,
Tim

Sorry, I have the 2009 so it probably works different, but there is a "details" option when you have a station playing. Selecting this option, shows the song/artist information.

This station can be assigned to 1 of the 6 memory function buttons on the front of the radio as well.

Steering wheel buttons also go up and down your presets ....

Funny you should bring this up. On my '08, you were able to view the artist and the song. If I press the idrive controller now, nothing happens....just the station shows.

I didn't see it mentioned in the manual, but I've exceeded the number of questions I'm allowed for the week.

Detail option is gone.

I liked it to. I'm still looking. You can briefly see the details when adding a song to your favorites, so I'm hoping the option exists somewhere, but if it does, it's not as simple as it used to be.

On mine, if I leave the Satellite Radio screen up with the channels listed, it shows the song and artist at the top. Sometimes I leave that screen on the split screen, and have a button set to bring-up that screen.

That's the same screen I keep open, but I do split screen with the nav map. Are you saying if you leave the single screen you can see the artist?

I see the artist in split screen (at least I think I do).

Have you tried hitting the "option" button while on that screen, to see if showing the artist is an option?

I definitely do not see the artist in the split screen. When I hit the option button it shows the split screen option, deleting the selection and something else, but no detail for artist option. I'll have to check the single screen later. Will report back tonight. Thanks, Penguin You give me hope.
