I did reset the X5 buttons by pressing two buttons simultaneously for over 30 secs, but after that could not make the led blink faster with pressing the garage remote and garage remote button on X5. Please help, did I miss something here. |

Mine doesn't work when I try it that way, either. Find the manual for your garage door opener (the actual unit). It should have directions on how to set a garage door opener (whether it's another handheld unit, or a car).
What I had to do on mine was push a purple button on the unit, and within 30 seconds go push the button in the car that I wanted to sync.

Thanks, I took the print out of statdocs directions, will try in the evening.
@ Brian, I'm struck up at step 2 itself. There was no rapid flashing, no matter how long I press both the buttons simultaneously. |

other potential issues... (i too had issues with Homelink)
1) make sure the hand held remote has new batteries 2) make sure the hand held remote is on the "right" frequency. Some remotes provide two choices 3) if (1) and (2) do not fix the issue, try another hand held remote It can be a ridiculous process (it took me like 30 minutes of trying different combinations b/f the car finally finally took the signals) |
