Look at the bright side: they could have kept it for 2 days before getting it back to you!
If there is any way to document the incorrect operation of the autolamps (via cell camera) you should try that. It is interesting that your PDC is 'inactive' and the fault is a paintable sensor... ALL your sensors bad? How? Perhaps this system will turn the entire thing off if one is bad.... GL A
