I can vouch for the V... I've got an 09 CTS-V and damn things flies like a rocket. Most don't even want to tempt me as they give up just seeing the thing.

Wow, I guess I'm behind the times, how long has the RR SC had 510hp? My client and my friend both have RR SC's, and they were the 390hp version, which my 4.8 could smoke. G

Well, I dont think I need the X5M to smoke them, I'll be happy with the new X5 5.0, I'll wager it would be pretty dead even with the 510hp RR SC, or pretty close to it at least.

Plus, after market tuners, such as Dinan will come out with software that will boost the 5.0i to similar outputs as the X5M.

The CTS-V is a beast and would likely smoke us M's at the track (curvy or straight). I've run the Daytona road course (Rolex 24hr config) with Z06's (505hp) and they outperformed me by quite a bit. The Caddy is heavier, but also has more power and would likely do the same. I will still take my M over the Caddy, but only on preference not performance. I have yet to drive one though so can't comment on feel. I have driven the Z06's on the other hand and stats aside, I wouldn't swap. It's just not as responsive as the M (throttle or steering wise). Beautiful car with amazing performance, it just doesn't communicate to you as well. Of course, had I chosen the V over the M, who knows what song I might sing...

He beat Lutz, he didn't beat a few other drivers in CTS-V's.

OK I'm confused here...how did you know it was a 2010 model when the new ones only have minor changes from the previous 390 hp supercharged version?

And...it was a 1/4 mile ahead of you after you covered 1/4 mile plus a 1 second pause...are you sure 'bout that? You're basically saying the RR Sport SC covers 1/2 mile in under 16 seconds...it doesn't. That would make it faster than a Bugatti Veyon...it isn't. It has a lot of power but it's heavy at 5900 lbs...I think the last test I saw listed it at 13.7 in the 1/4, so a tad slower than an E46 M3, but no slouch. Definitely a bit quicker than the 4.8 but it shouldn't leave you for dead.

Just curious, why do you have both an X5 M and a 4.8i?

Anyone have the 0-60 for the RR Classic Supercharged (510HP)?
I could live with 5.1, but 5.9 is a bit high for me...

I ordered a X5M and paid $150k already(non refundable), but I cancelled my order to see if I could order an individual with Frozen grey exterior. Now I am split between the X5M and RR. I currently have a 09 4.8 and a Denali. I need one SUV for sure, and the RR seems like a better bet because it suits the Dubai conditions better. My X5 is getting recked in Dubai. Plus I don't need a 4.8 AND an X5M.. (trade in!?)

I am in construction and drive in dirt all the time, plus I live on a dirt road. I also drive up curbs a lot, and do dessert driving quite a bit. The RR is better for this.

I could (would) have been driving a Lambo LP640 which is all the speed I could have needed (and Owned any car), but being only 20 and seeing a tragic event occur in front of me I am going to hold off a couple years before getting an exotic...

And I don't like any Cadillacs except the Escalade. Performance doesn't matter, I would never get one.

If you want performance get the x5 if you only require straight line pull but your taste emphasizes utility and luxury go with the RR SC autobio or whatever. Either way you will be a happy man as you do not strike me as the individual concerned with out of warranty service cost And btw forget that rr sport its a hunk of trash. I test drove the face-lifted model as soon as it came out...thinking I would like it better than I did in 07...nope. Cockpit feels cramped which is not the case with the full size range and the seats are no where near as supportive as bmw's..also I have become way accustomed to my panoramic sunroof
I couldn't agree more. And I have a BMW, so when I feel drivng with the Pano roof, I have that option

1. Maybe fix your signature?????

2. You paid $150,000 non-refundable? So why bother canceling? Take delivery of the car and sell it for $10... you'd be $10 ahead.
