Not the "Build your 2011 X5", but for those who haven't seen it, at least it's something: BMW North America

I did send a little flame mail about them updating their site content via this form: https://www.bmwusa.com/Secured/Conte...702FNUwA/3DA==

I'm sure that'll do a whole lot of good

They are actually going through change control management as part of various compliance regulations in US.

It is humorous though that at least on the M build your own portion the taillights are the new LCI version but the site still says 2010 model build.

I got an email from BMW USA inviting to build the 2011 X5, but it takes you to 2010 configurator.

So did I. The irony. I sent them an e-mail asking when it would be loaded on the site. Still have not heard back.

Haha I sent an email as well saying that this is pathetic for a company of bmw's size. In addition I reminded them that it is undoubtedly costing them some sales, no matter how small. I doubt I will get a reply though.

Ppl,
Don't you think that the reason why BMWUSA still has the 2010 on their website is due to the fact that they may still have 2010 in their inventory? And, wouldn't it be wise to sell all the 2010 (or at least most of them) before putting up the 2011 for everyone to see?

Most car buyers go into it blind. Yes, for those ppl like us here, we have the heads-up. But, most will not know about the 2011 release! If they put the 2011 up on their website, no one will want a 2010!

Get a grip! It's only May 2010.....you want them to update their website to reflect the 2011 already?!?!? Geez! Complaining to corporate....yeah, that'll make them change their minds quick!

Not only is your logic flawed, you aren't the sharpest tool in the shed my friend. The ads are already in place for the 2011 x5 on bmwusa, so it is not as if they are hiding it. Of course they have 2010 inventory...just like every other model they sell. This is a normal part of doing business. The 2007 configurator was up and running long before the e70's hit the dealers. Guess what? They had inventory of 2006's at the time! Second, No. It would not be wise to attempt to hide the 2011's as if they were some shady dealer, they are a manufacturer. Model year is not the issue (re: it is still 2010 and these are 2011 models), the issue is that they are not presenting their latest version of the x5 properly. People like us (xoutpost nuts) are aware of all of the changes in detail so we are less likely to be deterred from purchasing due to this nonsense. Joe six pack who has never owned a bmw but thought he would take a look around the site because his lexus sucks might be turned off by the fact he cannot configure his potential 65k dollar purchase immediately. Consumers pay for convenience mi amigo.

And this kills your point. The Diesel Credit is only good for 2011's now not 2010.
