There should be via iDrive. There is on our 2010. Read the manual.

Page 83 of the owner's manual for a 2008 X5 describes how to adjust the PDC volume. It is listed as an optional item (*).

I haven't seen that option and not seen any reports that anyone has been able to do it.

i found a 3series coding site that said they have had success with the following code:

Control unit: PDC for e65, e60, RR1, e70,

LAUTSTAERKE_HINTEN
wert_02 to wert_07

haven't tried it yet though..
