Yesterday morning I got CEL come on (all of the sudden on my way to work)... Drove straight to my BMW service department. Today got a call - turbo-intercooler hose leaking, they ordered part and should get it installed tomorrow.
No other symptoms - no oil leaks, no changes in engine's behavior (power, torque, etc were normal). Funny that the 1st loander (a 535i) died on me too (low coolant, engine went into limp mode - did not allow to spin off above 2K rpm)... Now I know what the "limp" mode feels like (it is when honda civic with 4 passengers passes you on the highway entrance ramp and you can't do a thing about it  )
