They can't have problems if they don't use it there. I am aware of urea injection being used in medium and heavy duty trucks in Europe, just not so much in light duty vehicles.

I wasn't contrasting BMW with Mercedes or others, just noting that initial customer experiences in Germany can't necessarily be extrapolated to initial customer experiences in North America. I think there were a higher number of diesel issues in the past year in North America due to BMW's introduction of urea injection. I think it will have calmed down by next year, but I do think they had a blip, albeit with a small number of vehicles. Maybe all the diesel X5 customers in North America love their vehicles so much that they will award BMW top points, and forgive small transgressions such as leaking urea tanks, etc. Maybe all the other SUV manufacturers had the same diesel issues this past year.
