No premium at all. 1K over invoice only. I have a long history with my dealership and they are fanastic!

I didn't see the box in front of the driver -- did you also get the heads up display? I'm curious if you like it or not (especially if you wear polarized sun glasses).

I definitely love the HUD. Not intrusive in the least and can be turned off instantly with the press of a button. In the settings menu it can also be adjusted for height and brightness and you can control the type of info you want it to display.

Unfortunately I don't wear polarized sunglasses but have heard that it impairs the reading.

Polarized sunglasses KILL Head up Display! I had to buy new sunglasses, as my favourite (and $300!!!) pair made HUD totally blank. I now have non-polarized sunglasses (inexpensive), and HUD is perfect. Along with Comfort Access and heated seats, HUD can easily become a Must Have option

It's my fourth Individual ordered car since 99.
If you don't mind, could you please describe the ordering process for these "individual" options? I'm looking to replace my 05 5-Series and I'm definitely interested in individual wood and enhanced premium sound. By the way, how's the quality of the EPS compared to the regular Premium Sound?

Thanks!

Thanks! I wonder if it's possible to special order an e70 non-M x5 in LeMans Blue or Imola Red? & if so, how much it would cost?

The process is manual and requires the owner of the dealership to commit to the purchase in which case it is non-refundable. It is not part of the regular order process and requires intervention by supervisors. I suggest you have the option codes and give them to the sales manager in advance too.

Ultimately, it depends on your personal relationship with your dealer and whether or not they are willing or even know how to start the process.

EPS is a excellent car audio system. It is extremely detailed and has excellent clarity and separation. In fact, you may hear sounds/instruments you didn't know were in the recording. Having said that, because it is that detailed, GARBAGE IN _ GARBAGE OUT. Don't expect SAT, FM, lossy music to sound great. It will sound good. Lossless copies and cd's will sound great depending on the quality of the cd itself. I use a 240gb usb hard drive and have it filled with hundreds of cd's all in WMA lossless format. Depending on the cd, the sound ranges from very good to superb.

It's not a perfect system in that it may not be compleltey flat or have bass that would shake your neighbor's windows, but it's really damn good.

I'm an audiophile to the n'th degree since one of my hobbies is to design home theaters. In other words, I have what most would call a reference system and can compare the same music directly.

I cannot comapre it to premium sound since I never heard it. BTW, EPS in the X5 sounds a little better than EPS in my 335d probably because of the interior volume.

In general, BMW will NOT approve exclusive ///M colors on non ///M cars.

Ask me how I know.

I special ordered a 335d for a friend who wanted a color as close as possible to estoril blue. Estorial blue is nla btw. They would not approve Monte Carlo Blue. We went back and forth for some time and this was the $5K result:
