Any idea if colors like Carbon Black are still restricted to the M Sport Package? I wouldn't mind it so much but the aluminum color roof rails that come with that package look ridiculous and I also want the running boards which can't come with that bodywork.

Yes. But you can order custom colors by paying more. It has happened with E53.

I hate to say this but my 2011 has been in the shop for 40+ days now and BMW AG is supposed to authorize a by back is a good thing. With the same options as I have now, the car is 3k cheaper than my 80900 build price when I ordered my X5. Hey new X5, 4 months of a free car and now cheaper.

This might sound stupid but here it goes.

I ordered an X5 what I thought to be a 2011 year model, reading these post it make the year seem a little foggy. My VIN gets assigned on 13 April with a completion date of 20 April if production of the 2012 models start early April then my question is what year is it going to be a 2011 or 2012?

Since its going to have the diesel engine I am guessing from reading the prior post that I will get a 2012 body with a 2011 engine, anyone want to make any suggestions add to my stupid thoughts?
