Don't pay attention to KBB values either. Any smart person that knows X's wouldn't go anywhere near a first-gen with over 50-60k miles on it. Even that's stretching it. Ask me how I know...

Also, 19.5 MPG combined in a 4.8is? Are you a magician?
I have had zero problems with mine... I maintain my vehicles very well, I had an 04 4.4 for 146,000 miles and no problems. The guy that bought it from me put on an additional 60K with no issues.

You're welcome- however they were directed at Jeremym--- to refute his smart assed, know-it-all comments. Why some people get off on going on an annonymous chat board and essentially calling someone a liar for no reason and no proof I'll never know. Takes all kinds I guess.

^^^So you got 19.1 on a road trip AVERAGING 51.5mph.

That is NOT 'combined off highway mileage'. Yes, it is good mileage for a roadtrip. No that was not 50% city, stop-and-go, traffic lights.\

IMO

We consistenty average 19.?? mpg. (we live rural- no city driving).

What I quoted above in post 12-

Not sure how else to say it. 18 miles from home to work. 2 stop signs. Roads are 45 and 55 mph, which = 50-65 mph driving. Never said city driving. NO road trip was part of this. I have not reset the trip computer for several months.

Then I'm pretty much called a liar (post 18), so I posted the pics. Next thing you know someone will post wanting to know what everyones income is. Oh, wait.......nevermind.

X5 35 uses newer N55 engine so:
single twin scroll turbocharger
DI
Valvetronic

The 35i is a new engine, called the N54, still 3.0 litres, but:

+2 turbochargers
+ direct injection
+ horsepower
+ torque

Totally different driving experience, IMO.

Heh -- a man after my own heart. Guess I'm one of those myself 'cause I get 14-15 mixed out of an N55.

I got 17-19 mixed in a 35d. Slap me in a 5.0 and what'll I get? 10!?!

Absolutely correct, I forgot it was an E70-specific question.

I never called you a liar. I said I don't believe it. You proved me wrong with your photos and I didn't dispute it after that, did I? Are you seriously trying to start a pissing match with me, like TRAINER did?

What do you want...a cookie? Awesome, you proved me wrong. You expect me to reply back saying "OH MY GOD! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! THOSE PICTURES ARE REAL?!?!?!?! I'M SENDING $100000000000000 yen to your HOUSEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Dude, you win. Weeeeeeeeee! Get over yourself and your 19mpg and just move on with life. I've moved on, a while ago, but you're still stuck in last-week time.

As I said, repeatedly, in that tread...if you don't want to participate, then don't. I never asked anyone to specifically post their income. The reason I set it up as a poll was strictly to keep it anonymous. What is your problem with that thread? Or do you just have a chip on your shoulder because I didn't acknowledge that you really get 19mpg in your X? You're like my girlfriend. Until I admit that I'm wrong and she's right, there is a grudge held for no reason. Life's too short for grudges.
