![]() My income went up significantly several years ago. I sold my X5 and we bought an X3. No correlation what so ever.

![]() Maybe of slight interest to the curious drive-bys, but even for this ol'RetiredBum, who watches new car purchases out of common fiscal sense, we still own/drive what we want and what makes sense to us, and our situ. Fwiw, the ol' annual 'income', (interest & dividends), is barely a fifth of what it was in the dual income/no payments daze, but we aren't missing lunch. ![]()

Who. Gives. A. Shit?
Seriously guys, you really feel the need to comment over and over and over about how worthless the poll is? If it's so worthless then why bother wasting the time to post? I do not think income has ANYTHING to do with vehicle choice. It was a simple idea and I took action. Period. Stop looking into it so damn much. Jeeze. I love you, still. |

your income will go up if you stop caring what everybody else is making or driving and start figuring out how to get there yourself..

Based upon my observations and the high number of folks at this forum trying to find every conceivable way to finance a new car purchase, I sense a disconnect between stated income and reality.
Strictly my opinion, Dick |

Not sure I see a correlation between income and the desire to finance the purchase of a new car. Is it your opinion that those who make a decent living don't finance purchases?

Exactly. I am no expert but I would bet the discounts are better when you finance. ![]()
