What... is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?

What... is the capital of Assyria?

What... is your favourite colour?

I hear the app called Siri is good for that...

The torque for the wheels should be in your owners manual. I don't know it off hand.

Dude, your question about "is a DIY wheel change difficult" is beyond comprehension...

My 16 year old daughter can change a wheel.... luckily you likely feel secure in your manhood that not learning the basic stuff a preteen learns is not a concern- and you will shamelessly tell the world. Glad to hear that.

To not graciously accept the comments of a senior member about searching- ESPECIALLY about an inane and stupid question- is really unacceptable.

I will certainly add this interaction to my image of you and your on-line persona.... surely such an interaction will not engender helpful responses in the future. Others may think the same...dunno, but you need to understand that how you are treated is based on how you act.

I know precisely the torque values you need. And how to use a two ton jack on your car.

Seriously?!? Lighten up you stereo typical BMW owners. Can't we just get along?
Its not difficult but with all the tire places available , just get it done. Do something easier...change the airfilter....wiper blades...changing the tires will require a bit of effort and will not really give you any return. Plus, if you have to ask, you probably have not used your jack very often and that in itself could pose a problem. Our vehicles are very heavy and like to break jacks.
And by the way...I am not senior member so please go easy on me....

Stereotypical is one word.

And are you seriously posting that "our vehicles are very heavy and like to break jacks."??? Could you find ONE post of a broken jack on an E70 here on xoutpost?????

The 'stereotypical' BMW driver is one who calls roadside assistance...sadly...and doesn't know how to change tires. So I loudly applaud the OP on making the effort.

But we need to know if Siri told you that? I suppose I could do it myself

And as far as changing tire go, no, I don't do that. I know how to do it and I have changed wheels on cars. For the X5, I would want to use a torque wrench and a floor jack with pump action.

True...
When I hear things like, ' I have a jack...' I think of the bottle jack that my grandmother saved me that was manufactured in 1965.
Sure, I applaud the thought and effort but like I said, if you have to ask...it may be something that you should not do. Swapping out wheels is simple yet can be very dangerous if it's not performed, in both preperation(jacking/securing) and execution.

Just trying to look out for my fellow enthusiast is all.

Werd to your mother,
Jesse

i thought the stereotypical BMW driver traded vehicles once the need for a tire change arose.
