In my research and talking with the BMW rep, it is a mistake on the BMW website. Adaptive Drive does not come with the Sport Activity Package. It is a separate option.

That was my point.

Also, agree on the mistake with the BMW website..it's been discussed here many, many times. Adaptive drive IS $3500 extra and despite showing up in various packages you will not get it if you haven't paid for it as a stand alone.

I have a new 2012 X5 with 5k miles. I got both the Premium Sound and Contour Seats. Both are worth it but I would rank the seats the first priority.

Late to the party but another vote for the multi-contour seats. Besides being well worth it, you can help the stereo after-market with BSW speakers, etc but you can't change the seats.

I just placed in order for 2012 50i. I am getting $750 above invoice then 1k loyalty, 1k Mission cash.

Now what is the Nav credit? I hope to take delivery before the year ends...

Still deciding if I should lease or buy... My wife wants to keep it for min 5 years... I know if I buy, she has to keep it for like 7 years to get any savings out of it... plus we dont drive much so leasing may be a waste of "milage $$"

Nav credit is not available for 50i. See post #7 in this thread.

I finally I have a chance to test drive the new 2012 this afternoon. The new 8 speeds transmission and 300 bonnies is freaking awesome. Very good aceleration from start and go. I did not feel any lagging, just imo. Just love it.

I am very much sold on the multi-contour seat for the next order. Just trying to squeeze in one last option, which is the premium Hi-Fi sound. But my CEO (wify) refused to approve the purchase order .

The final offered price is 55325 plus tax and license included the Drive Event, Loyalty Program, and navi credit. Still negotiate with the trade in. Maybe, I should bring it to Carmax to see if the offer is better...

I hope to have it deliver before Noel.

Thank you all again for your great inputs...awesome forum

Hifi audio is something that will not be a deal breaker for me. I understand why you want it. Haha i ordered it in my order.

Ive had high end after market stuff done to my previous bmw. So hifi isnt all that great but will be great for most people. The x5 will be for my wife so no aftermarket tinkering here.

Google JBL MS-8. Best thing you can add and instantaneously changes the staging and frequency balance. You can just piggy back this into any existing oem system and it can be disconnected later. It is a preamp equalizer that tunes and filters out diff frequency to optimize for driver aide or pass or both.

The problem with most oem system is their crappy paper speakers. Just cant produce clarity.

Interior wood trim advise...

I have been negotiating for a 2012 35i premium model X5 the last several days and now I have a green light to go.
-
My configuration for my new 2012 35i X5 will be as follow:
- PG and cinamon brown nevada
- Convenience package
- Multi-contour seat
- Space spare tire, and
- running board

Should I go with bamboo or dark burl wood? Which wood trim will provide a better contrast with the cinamon brown? I just cant decide, because both wood trims look good, imo. I have to make a decision by tomorrow night to submit my order. I have light popular on my current 2007 X5.

Does the premium model comes with the roof rail? It does not listed on the the bulletin.
